The documents helped influence the Constitution because they were a model for our country. They say basic things; like the head of the government needs to follow laws too, elections/votes should be held regularly, etc. It even inspired the 6th amendment; everyone has a right to a speedy trial. Without these documents America could have fallen like the Roman Empire and we wouldn’t be where we are today. –Victoria Yencik Period 3
Philosophers like J ohn Locke and Baron de Montesquieu helped to influence the creation of the United States Constitution by creating ideas about peoples freedoms. John Locke wanted the people to have the natural rights to life, liberty, and property. Baron de Montesquieu then suggested the Separations of Powers. It kept a person or group from having too much power. This helps the constitution because then we have our basic freedoms. The Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights created an English Tradition of Liberty which also gave people freedom. This all lead up the constitution to give the people all of this freedom.

The philosophers and the documents influenced the Bill of Rights by making sure that the people would enjoy living in america. By creating The Bill of Rights they got the rights and freedoms they deserved back in England but never got. The documents also helped to create the base for the new government.

These various documents helped to influence the writing of the U.S Constitution. They made the world run easily and gave the citizens their voice due to the nature of its rules. While making these boundaries firm these historical figures made them fair as well as un-complex when it came to abiding by them. Baron De Montesquieu gave each branch of government its own form of authority in terms of what to do with the law. This became known as the Separation of Powers. Therefore, I strongly believe that this practice is a piece that creates the constitution, because with power comes law and with law their comes power.

Philosophers like John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu helped to influence the creation of the United States Constitution by showing that people need rights like liberty and having private property. One of them also introduced the idea of operation of powers. The document Magna Carta helped to influence the Constitution by showing the tradition of liberty, which many of the colonist brought to America and is now used in the Constitution.
Philosophers were needed because they had to think of the constitution in a way we didn't. We wanted more brains put together to create the best set of rules for the people. We also used the English Bill of Rights to see what they had done wrong. We wouldn't want to repeat what England did!

Philosophers like John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu influenced the US Constitution because Locke said that if a ruler violates the people's rights then the people have the right to rebel. Baron de Montesquieu said that government should be divided into 3 powers, legislative, executive and judicial. The Magna Carta influenced the US Constitution because it said that citizens have rights in which the government must protect, the head of government must obey the law, Taxes can't be raised without consent of the people. Elections should be held frequently people accused of crimes have rights to trial by jury and people have the right to private property. The US Constitution has many similarities to these.

Philosophers like John Locke and Baron Dr Montesquieu influenced the creation of the constitution by their ideas to help the people. John's book, Two Treaties on Government, stated all people have their basic rights. Baron suggested that governments could share power so not one could gain too much. The Magna Carta and English Bill of Rights influenced the thoughts the colonists had about freedom, they believed what the documents said and wanted their new country to follow them. The documents are the baseline of the constitution.
Philosophers like John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu helped influence the creation of the united states because they helped make the constitution of the united states of america. The bill of rights also influenced the creation of America because it gave people power also instead of the government and it also had rules in what you couldn't do.

The U.S, Constitution was influenced by meny things and people of the U.S. wanted to have their rights, not able to be taken from them like what King George did. The documents Magna Carta had things, like amendments, sating citizens had rights that the government must protect and even the head of the government must boat the laws. They also had accused have the right to a trial by jury, taxes can't be raised without the people saying it was all right, and elections should be hold frequently. Americans wanted to have these kind of rights, good for the people and states but still have a strong government that can't over power the people and their rights. These where great laws that where hard to find a loophole for, exactly what America wanted plus at the same time it gave its power to the people.

John Locke and Barnon de Montesquieu helped influence the creation of the U.S. Constitution because Locke had the idea of giving people such as the freedom of speech and the freedom of press. Montesquieu had the idea of breaking the government into 3 separate branches so no one has too much power. If you look at our constitution today, we use both of these ideas. We also use these ideas for the same reasons as these two men did which was so we don't have a dictatorship. The Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights also helped influence our constitution because they also gave us many ideas. Those documents limited the governments powers just like our constitution limits our government's powers. These documents also influenced the creation of our constitution because we saw how successful the countries with a constitution were.

The Bill of Rights helped to shape the United States Constitution because it was the first form of government that we had. The Magna Carta stated things like “Even the head of law must obey the law”, “Elections should be held regularly”, and “Taxes cannot be raised without the consent of the people”. These things were changed and are now laws we use today.
John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu both helped influence the creation of the United States Constitution. John Locke stated "Every individual has a natural rights to life, liberty, and property. He also stated "Government is an agreement between the ruler and the ruled, if a ruler violates the people's natural rights, the people have a right to rebel." This basically describes a lot of the things in the Constitution. Baron de Montesquieu believed that the powers of the government must be clearly defined and divided into legislative, executive, and judicial branches. That's exactly what our government is, divided into 3 branches. Documents like the Magna Carta and the English Bill Of Rights have the same principles of the American system of government:
Citizens have rights which the government must protect.
The head of the government must obey the law too.
Taxes cannot be raised with out the consent of the people.
Elections should be held frequently.
People accused of crimes have the right to a trail by jury and the right of habeas corpus.
People have the right to private property.

Philosopher John Locke helped by writing "Two Treatises of Government" which directly influenced key founding fathers to whom helped create the constitution. Baron helped by the idea that the power in the branches was balanced not too much power given to one. Magna Carta helped the colonists know that they had rights and English Bill of Rights helped give an idea of how to create their own and what to and not to do.

The Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights influenced the creation of the United States Constitution in many ways. These documents lead to the whole idea of giving the people more power than the government. Some of the principles the two documents followed rights given to the people for equality and rights to the accused. The rules stated in these documents were, "Citizens have the rights which the government must protect... Even the head of the government must obey the law... Taxes cannot be raised without the consent of the people... Elections should be held frequently... People accused of crimes have the right to trial by jury and the right of habeas corpus, meaning no person may be held in prison without being charged with a specific crime... People have the right to private property, or property owned by an individual," (page 252, America History of our Nation). As you can see some of these principals followed reflect our constitution as the point of our constitution was to give more power to the people and have the people run the government just not one ruler, such as the King of England.
John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu played a huge role in the creation of the United States Constitution. John Locke, "... declared that every individual has natural rights to life, liberty, and property... ruler violates... people's natural rights... people have a right to rebel," (page 253, America History of our Nation). This shows the equality people were aiming for to say that they are just as good as everyone else and deserve to be treated that way. Now, Baron de Montesquieu was extremely important to the structure, or set up, of the United States Constitution. Montesquieu introduced, "... a concept known as separation of powers... powers of government must be clearly defined and divided into legislative, executive, and judicial branches," (page 253, America History of our Nation). This system is still used today in the government and was made to cover certain places and situations in the government, therefore, not giving someone too much power.

John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu helped to create the Constitution because they suggested concepts we should add to the government such as separation of powers. Also John Locke argued the concept that people should be able to rebel and get angry if rulers violated people's rights. These ideas were things people agreed with, so it was decided to craft the constitution as these suggestions seemed reasonable and should be put into effect.
2.
The Magna Carta and the English Rights helped to create an English tradition of liberty, and added principles like "Taxes cannot be raised without the consent of the people," and, "Elections should be held frequently." Rules like this helped spark ideas of making the American system of government.
John Locke was very influential in the creation of the U.S Constitution, because, Two Treatises on Government, he stated that all people have rights and if they are violated then the people have the right to rebel. Also in the fifth amendment, it tells us we have the rights to life, liberty and property and they should not be deprived, and this is exactly what John Locke said. He also says, our government is an agreement between our rulers and us people, so they provide us protection and things that we cannot provide for ourselves, and if they do not do that in the right way we have the right to rebel. Baron de Montesquieu idea’s impacted our constitution in because he started the idea of separation of powers. This clearly divided our government into three branches and gave them each responsibilities. Without this concept, one person or group could gain too much power which could turn our republic into an oligarchy or dictatorship. The English Bill of Rights and Magna Carta, influenced our constitution strongly because the idea of due process of law (criminals have rights too, and they should not be violated). In the English Bill of Rights, it tells us we have the right of habeas corpus meaning no person can be held in prison without being charged of specific crime. They both say that we have the right to a trial by jury which is in the seventh amendment. Since the Magna Carta was created to protect rights and properties from a tyrannical king, it has the principle that people have the right to own private property. Other principles that were used in the creation of the U.S Constitution was that the government leaders should obey the law, elections should be held often, and taxes should not be raised without the consent of the people. These were in place because when under British rule, the citizens did not have these rights and were treated unfairly. Lastly in both of these documents, they tell us why it is important to have a Bill of Rights in our constitution; the people have rights that should not be violated.

Philosophers like John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu influenced the creation of the constitution. John Loche helped to introduce the first ideas of human 6441rights. Baron de Montesquieu introduced the concept of separating power into three branches. The magna Carta and English Bill of Rights also helped to create the constitution. They brought the sense of liberty. They showed that the government should be run in consideration of the people.
The philosopher John Locke stated that "Every individual has natural rights to life, liberty, and prosperity." All are included in the Bill of Rights. The philosopher Baron De Montesquieu suggested the concept known as "Separation of Powers." It states the government must have certain boundaries, which the Bill of Rights ensures.
The Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights both state the citizens rights must be protected by the government and the king and queen must obey the law. Taxes cannot be raised without consent of the people. Elections must be held frequently. People who are accused of crimes have the right to a trial by Jury. People have the right to privacy. Both are basically included in the Bill of Rights. All of these examples are major influences to the American Bill of Rights

The Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights help to influence the creation of the U.S constitution because the have rights that the government can't take away, People accused of crimes have the right to trial by jury, and people have the right to private property. Philosophers like John Locke helped with the constitution by his book. In his book he said that every individual has natural rights to life, liberty, and property. This helped the constitution because it says that we have the right to freedom, and to own our own property. Another thing that Locke said was that if a ruler violates the people's natural rights, the people have the right to rebel. This gives the people the right to protest and to express themselves. He also said that a government is an agreement between the ruler and the ruled. This means that the government and the people need to work together and communicate. Baron de Montesquieu also helped influence the creation of the U.S constitution by saying that the power of the government must be divided. This help because it prevents the government from becoming a dictatorship. In our government the power is divided in the legislative, executive, and judicial branch. Philosophers like John Loche and Bardon de Montesquieu influenced the creation of the Constitution by writing and thinking of things that people think of as modern concepts today. The Magna Carta and English Bill of Rights might have influents the Constitution by giving us examples of what rights our people should have and what we shouldn't have.
John Locke influenced the Constitution because both the document and Locke wanted everybody to have the rights to life, liberty, and property. They also gave the right to rebel against a government if needed. The Baron de Montesquieu gave the Framers the of the three branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial. The Founding Fathers got the ideas of the government protecting the citizens' rights, the leader of the country must obey the laws, taxes can't be increased without citizens saying it can, people accused of crimes have the right to a jury and habeas corpus, and have the right to their own property from the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights. They got the idea of a republic from the Romans.

John Locke is known for making a list of everyday individual freedoms that was added into the constitution. Without these freedoms we would not live in a free country. The Magna Carta was a written document used to protect a country against its tyrannical king. This shows how the U.S. constitution is also here to protect us against our own government. These things inspired our founding fathers and really work to creat a free country.

1. John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu helped to create the constitution because they brought the idea of the separation of powers concept, within the states and the nation. John Locke also kinda followed the concept of freedom of speech. (first amendment)
2.The Magna Carta included the tradition of the taxes shouldn't be raised without the consent of the people. This is how we do it today. It also talked about how we should have elections frequently.
John Locke, a philosopher, influenced the creation of the United States Constitution by stating, "...government is an agreement between the ruler and the ruled. Further, he argued, if a rule violates the people's rights, the people have the right to rebel." This influenced the creation in the Constitution because John stated that every person should have certain rights. Baron Montesquieu also helped influence by saying a concept which was designed to keep one person or group from gaining too much power. Lastly, the Magna Carta influenced it because it created the English tradition of liberty, which the colonists then brought back to America.

They influenced people like Thomas Jeferson and Sam Adams with there political philosophy and other great ideas. That is how they contributed to the constitution. The English bill of rights and the Magna Carta contributed to the Constitution by showing the American people what they wanted or didn't want in there government.
1) John Locke and Baron de Montesquieu influenced the creation of the United States Constitution because John Locke wanted everyone to have rights, liberty, and property. The philosophers John Locke & Baron de Montesquieu both wanted to make sure that the people had power too and that the government didn't take their power away. John says that "every individual has natural rights to life liberty, and property." He believes that if a ruler violates any of the laws the people have a right to rebel. Baron had suggested that the powers of the government must be " clearly defined & divided into legislative, executive & judicial branches." The B.o.R and the Magna Carta helped influence the creation of the Constitution by giving some ideas of laws that should be in the constitution. Like the people have rights that the government has to protect even the head of the government. Also elections have to happen often and taxes can not be raised without permission from the people. These are only a few ways that all of these things helped create the constitution.

I believe that philosophers such as John Locke and Baron de Montesququie influenced the creation of the constitution very much. John Locke influenced the cinstistution because of how he declares that every individual has natural right to life, liberty and property. Baron de Montesququie suggested a concept known as seperation of powers, which basically stated that the government was to be divided into three branches. I think that documents such as the Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights also influenced the creation of the constitution because many principles were pulled from those two documents and became part of the american system of government, some of these principles including, "even the head of government must obey law", "taxes cannot be raised without the consent of the people", etc.

The Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights helped create and English tradition of liberty. From those two documents we got these principles: citizens have rights, even the government must obey the law, taxes cannot be raise, elections should be held frequently, people accused of a crime have the right to a trial by jury, and people have the right to private property. These are still rights in our Bill of Rights today. Baron de Montesquieu suggested making a separation of powers where the government would be divided into the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Our government is still divided like this today. John Locke made it so that every person has the rights to life, liberty and property. We still follow this today in life. All of these people and documents helped make our government the way it is today.

The U.S. Constitution was influenced by a number of things. The Magna Carta was one of them. They got the idea of a speedy trial and religious freedom from this document because it stated it in the Magna Carta. Another influence is the English Bill of Rights where in this bill of rights it sets limits to what the British crown can do. In the Constitution they used the same idea by setting limits to what the US government can do. These were key documents in helping create the U.S. Constitution

Philosophers like Baron de Montesquieu help influence our consitution because he created a concept called the seperation of powers. We use that in our consitution today. We use it so our national government does not get all the powers. Because this concepts gives powers to the states and the people. The Magna Carta influenced our consitution because it has similar laws like citizens have laws that the goverment must protect. And people accused of crimes have the right to go to trial against a grand jury. That we have in our bill of rights.
The Magna Carta helped influence the US constitution because the British nobles forced king john to sign in 1215. Also, the Bill of Rights helped influence the constitution because William and Mary issued the B.O.R. in 1689 after the Glorious Revolution. Those two things created an English tradition of liberty.
